like a rhinestone cowboy

We went over to the stockyards, we tried to make it in time to see the longhorns cross the street but we missed it so we are gonna go back so we can see that! it is fun out there, very low key, and just fun to walk up and down the streets! we ate at a steak place called Booger Reds (i think) could have been H3...actually yes the restaurant is H3 and the bar was Booger Reds..it was good, at the bar area every other bar stool or so was a saddle...kind of cool.

We walked around for a while, in and out of the shops so then we went to Billy Bobs, and that was cool! They have hand prints of all the stars that have played there or been there,..Loretta Lynns hand prints! yay!! Ringo Star had been there, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson of course...all the great country music people and then some random rock bands too..it was very neat!

It was apparently free line dance lessons there at Billy Bobs, so we learned the watermelon crawl..it was hilarious! but lots of fun! They also instead of having a disco ball at the top of the room, have the saddle (all glittery) that was in Urban Cowboy with John Travolta. It was very cool looking! They also have an arena off to the side where on teh weekends they have bull riding..its neat...very very country/texas-ish

Anyways so that was lots of fun, good food, good times, we are planning on going back there to eat some more! I hope you are all doing well. I am doing good. Been running alot down by the lake, and reading for fun, which i havent done maybe ever in my life. I am close to making my final decision on whats next. And its leaning toward being back at home. I know how I talk such a talk about all this fun stuff and things I could do or this or that, but the good thing about being young and single is im allowed to change my mind! but when it comes down to it, at the end of the day, my heart is at home, with the people i love and the places i love.i definantely think sometimes you just need to get away for a little bit to realize how much a place or the people really mean to you. and obviously better to do this crazy stuff while im young than 20 years from now. i hate that i didnt "get away" for a bit sooner, i was always tied up working at the drugstore during my summers or school or internships at the hospital, so i guess that put off me doing things that i should have done back then, but oh well, its never too late i suppose. Like i said before i left, this will be just like summer camp! and it has! and i learned and i was gonna stick with it, then i wasnt, then i was again, and now here i am! I have learned alot this summer and its been good to have lonely quiet times so that I could hear in my head and heart exactly what it was saying! Anywho...I think its good sometimes to be a little flighty and off the handle...it keeps life interesting! stressful, but worth every minute!Anywho..yall give me a call!! I LOVE YALL!

You are just too CUTE!!! I am glad you are still getting out doing fun things to keep yourself busy. Besides you need to see what you can while your there, you probably won't be back for a while.
Remember we are all very proud of you for taking the risk. You were definitely at a point in your life you needed to explore. Now you can truly say you want to be in Mississippi. Even though I wish you would consider Huntsville!!! You have to look at this whole process as a growing experience. It takes something like this to make you realize what you really want. Never give up on yourself, stay focused and follow your heart!! I love you!! Piper

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealusy unyielding as the grave, it burns like a blazing fire; like a mighty flame, many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away, if one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned-Song of Songs

Carrie: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.
