9 to 5

Today was my first day which consisted of the wonderful world of orientation...gotta love blood borne pathogens, osha, infection contral, jchaho, and all those other repetitive discussions that you hear at every hospital. I must say though that this hospital has orientation down to an art, no waiting, and you dont really feel like you are herded around like cattle either. It is absolutely an amazing hospital, Im so excited to be at such a prestigious place and work in a nationally recognized hospital. It is definantely a different atmosphere than what I am used to. Everything is so clean and crisp and everyone knows what is going on and what they are supposed to do. How cool is it that this is where the egyptian conjoined twins where seperated? that makes me feel like wow! i met some new grads that were at my table, and they were so excited to be at their first job and orientation and talking so big, it made me laugh listening to them, bc i was right there 2 years ago, which is CRAZY. i met another traveler who is actually in my complex, she is my age and just got done in california. we may ride together in the AM, but that was nice to meet a new friend! This morning i woke up at 530 AM, left the apt. at 625, got onto the interstate at 630 and didnt get into the parking lot until 730. it took ONE HOUR for 12 miles..i am not kidding, like i looked up at one point on the road and there were 4 other interstates or fairways or whatever they are above me. its insane i guess im just naive but seriously and no road is less than 3 lanes across, and most are 5 with exits and lanes coming in and out everywhere....it definantely is going to help with my speeding bc you cant! anywho...it was a great first day, lots of paperwork to fill out, and hopefully i wont get lost tomorrow bc we go to the Chase Building which is like 5 million stories high..not really but its high..anywho LOVE YALL!!

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealusy unyielding as the grave, it burns like a blazing fire; like a mighty flame, many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away, if one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned-Song of Songs

Carrie: Your girl is lovely, Hubble.
Mr. Big: I don't get it.
Carrie: And you never did.

Carrie: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.
